In the spirit of halloween, I thought I would put together a small list of some halloween appropriate books. Also, this post was supposed to go up yesterday (on halloween), but it obviously didn't go to plan. But hey, better late than never right?
Hi! I have collected some books in the past month, and I wanted to share them with you :-) (Side note: I have gotten really into graphic novels in the past couple months, which you can probably tell from the picture below).
I recently started watching The Walking Dead again after having gotten stuck in season 1, and when my friend told me how much she liked the graphic novels, I had to get it. I looked up the cheapest option, and ended up ordering this humongous compendium edition. I’m so excited to read this, although I am kind of mad that Daryl’s character isn’t a part of the comics.
Hi! Today I’m going to talk a bit about the books i read in september. I’m doing separate posts about all of these later on, so I won’t go too much into them.
I started this month out in a bit of a reading slump and I have had a bunch of reading to do for school, so I haven’t had time to do a lot of actual-novel-reading. I have however been reading a lot of graphic novels.
The first two are Saga volume 1 and 2. I picked up vol 1 on a trip to London back in July, after my friend Sisse had been raving about it. And it was amazing! It was actually so good, that I had to order the vol 2 right away, and vol 2 was equally amazing. The series is about two people from different planets, which has been in war for a long time. The two fall in love and have a baby. Neither of the two nations are especially happy about all of this, and the little family has to go on the run. If you are into exciting storylines, fun dialogue, beautiful drawing and regally weird characters, you should definitely pick this up.
“One of the most difficult things when you were trying to navigate the world of books was dealing with all the unreliable authors. They were so unbelievably tricky to keep track of. An author might write a brilliant book, only to follow it up with something utterly mediocre. Or, and this was almost worse, one might have written a brilliant book but then turn out to be dead. Then there were those authors who started a series but never finished it.”
Hello! I own the music/lifestyle blog Recorded Life, and although I have posted a few book posts over there, I really wanted to create a blog only dedicated to books, and this is it! So, as we are well into September, I wanted to start off with a post about my TBR for autumn.
