Autumn 2015 TBR

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Hello! I own the music/lifestyle blog Recorded Life, and although I have posted a few book posts over there, I really wanted to create a blog only dedicated to books, and this is it! So, as we are well into September, I wanted to start off with a post about my TBR for autumn.

The first one is We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler. I honestly don’t have a clear idea of what this is about yet - I have read the back a million times, but I’m still not sure. BUT! It’s yellow, it has a tree on it and I have wanted to read this for the longest time, so I guess that justifies my decision to include it on this list.

The next one is Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling. I have wanted to re-read this for a really long time, and in my mind the whole magic thing gives the book an autumnal/wintery vibe.

The next two are Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry and The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hofman. I think both of these are historical fiction entered around circuses. I read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern earlier this year, and I think they have kind of the same magical/mystery-vibe. If you haven’t read The Night Circus yet, it is definitely also a good one for autumn.

The last one is The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. This one is about a teenager who’s job is to break into people’s minds…? It sounds reeeeaally weird, but I have heard good things about it, so I’m looking forward to it.

What are you reading this autumn?
xoxo - Lene

PS. The candle is Yankee Candle’s Honey Glow, which is the perfect autumn scent!
