Summer reading 2016
Saturday, July 16, 2016
We are already halfway through July, but since I'm be interning all summer I haven't been reading much. BUT - my one week vacation started yesterday, so today I thought I would share my summer reading list!
I have been listening to a lot of podcasts lately, and my favourite at the moment is Literary Disco. They have mentioned This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper quite a few times, and after watching the movie I knew I had to read the book, which is supposed to be so much better. I started reading this last month and I'm almost halfway through - so far I'm really liking the tragic-comic humor.
I have slowly been making my way through Jane Austen’s works and the next one on my list is Sense and Sensibility. I have watched a movie adaption a long time ago, but all I remember is that it is about two sisters who are complete opposites, and that’s pretty much it. I do however know that I love all the other books I’ve read by her, so this one can’t be too bad either.
I started reading The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare earlier this year after watching the Shadowhunter series - Yes, I know the show is bad, but I became completely obsessed with it. Besides, I had read the first book before and liked it just as much the second time around. I have already started reading the second book, City of Ashes, and I really want to finish it during the summer.
I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes a couple months ago, and I think I might finally be emotionally ready for the sequel After You.
Which books are you looking forward to reading this summer?
xx - Lene
